Middle East Conflict

Israel as a country/state is broken, if there is not world wide condemnation for their actions, what does it say about the world.
It is literally turning in to the thing it was founded to avoid.

Which pains me, as I have Jewish family and several Israeli friends, most of which are appalled by what is happening there.

In fact, the one who isn't is a diehard Netanyahu, Trump, and Tory backer who has largely been disowned by the rest of the family.

There are absolutely problems with Palestinian leadership and there is definitely plenty of blame to go around on both sides of the conflict, but the slide in to far-right authoritarianism and the continually more aggressive (and at times appalling) rhetoric and actions toward Palestine is frighteningly familiar.

It says for all the advances we have made as a species we still allow dark age mysticism shape our world and that is our greatest failing

It’s pretty clear that the population of Israel are happy to occupy more areas of the Arab areas. Isn’t that what this is all about?

On the 1st June 2023 an israeli soldier murdered a 2 year old and shot his father, wounding him in the shoulder. It was a mix up.
A soldier wrongly fired into the air thinking the car was suspicious so another soldier fired at the people in the car.
A two year old is dead. He was not involved in any illegal activity and neither was his dad. In fact he was simply parking outside his home but it's ok because it was a mix up.
