Just for reference, Musk isn't against AI at all, he kicked up a fuss about it to try to get the US Government to slow down his competitors ( OpenAI etc ) while he set up his own AI company xAI.

I’m not against your opinion in any way. To be fair, a majority are not in-depth about AI. There are 4 layers of AI, viz. Reactive AI, Limited Memory AI, Theory of Mind AI and Self-Aware AI.

xAI, like every other current AI format (GPT, GAN, LLM, RNN, CNN, LangChain, etc) are on AI level 2, which is Limited Memory AI. Included are also Gemini, Copilot, CodeWhisperer, etc.

Theory of Mind AI is still not yet realised, the closest being Amica Robot and Sophia robot. Amica now integrating with Gen AI.

There is no Self-Aware AI, yet. Self-Aware AI is a humanoid robot that is self dependent and has AgI (Artificial General Intelligence). Superintelligence is Self-Aware AI, where that AI format be it humanoid robot or Terminator Skynet surpasses human intelligence at ALL functions and behaviour.

THAT is what Elon Musk is against.

I just dont believe Musk is against it per se, He may say he is, but he's got a long history of saying stuff to gain advantages against competitors. Not that its going to mean much in the long run as while the west may well apply safety measures etc that slow down progress there's no way the likes of China etc will.

Not even three months into this 'war' and IDF started pulling battalion-size units out of Gaza because of attrition and low morale. And IDF generals are publicly saying Netanyahu's strategic goal is not achievable, so they are asking for more month and months of levelling Gaza to nothingness, just in order to gain ground for something in the future. What happened to those glory days of IDF when they occupied South Lebanon and surrounded West Beirut in two weeks. Like most of the modern western armies they are just not prepared for hellish slogs we see in Ukraine or Iraq-Iran war.

Great on your studying ML, that's the phygital future world, including the eventual superintelligence AI. Scary thought eh, when the future is human against self-governing robots. Check out Ameca robot by Engineering Arts () or visit their lab at Falmouth. It's far from iRobot (or Ex-Machina), but Ameca's already able to do Gen AI prompts. It drew a drawing of a cat. It's still early Theory of Mind AI as the cybernetic brain and long ways to go to, probably a few decades. But once AI is able to decide its own temperament and decisions, aka Self-Aware AI / Sentient AI, then them rebelling against human become probable.

On tunnels, the video that IDF did, they should have done an uncut footage from outside the entrance to going inside it.

Also, our Victoria Arches of the 1850s are better architected than the tunnels Israel made in the 1950s. Ours have communal shower rooms and stairwells.

This and is and will always be the biggest strategic mistake that Israel had ever made, for one it almost guarantees a separate Palestinian state and its sapping any support amongst the west especially from the younger generations, without which the state will struggle to survive, because if there is no separate state the semi apartheid state of existence just is not sustainable there’s no hiding it anymore it’s out in the open

There is going to have to be massive compromises on both sides but mark my words the pressure will be on Israel, it’s very survival depends on it
