It doesn't matter what they want. They are not the entirety of the Palestinian people.Sure it could be argued but it would be wrong. Hamas don’t want a two state solution, they literally state their reason to be is the total eradication of the Jewish state.
Give them a viable state and the Palestinian people will get rid of Hamas. It's a well known fact that they are disliked by the Gazans.
As it stands, they have no choice but to accept Hamas as they are the only entity willing to take up arms on their behalf against an overwhelmingly more powerful oppressor that regularly bombs and kills them.
