You make a good point but at school we were taught all about Moses, Samson, Abraham, Jesus, Herod, Bethlehem etc. Then there's Britain's involvement in the creation of the state of Israel, the Holocaust, nazism.

Not sure many of us know much about Myanmar or the Kurds.

A lot of people like to talk about Hamas and Hezbollah wanting to eliminate Israel and, even, kill all Jews in Israel and, for that matter, anywhere in the world. It's a great rallying call handed to them for free by those organisations, but does anyone actually believe they are in any way capable of carrying out that "threat"? It always seems to me to be staggeringly weak intellectually to say Hamas must be eliminated because they want to eliminate Israel and kill all Jews everywhere and then use overwhelming force on a civilian population to do it.

I might suggest that on the strength of the evidence of what they did 0n 7/10/22 it is more than a remote probability.... but in reality who knows. Is prevention better than cu..... in this case? Be that prevention by negotiation or counter violence.

I posted it in the Ukraine thread, got moaned at for diverting the thread then moved it to this one. If the ways tags work meant that you didn’t get one the second time it wasn’t my intention. You would certainly have got tagged the first time before I moved it.

Firstly, that's not what you said. You said more Muslims died at the hands of other muslims than anyone else.

Secondly, you're the one inventing a bullshit stat, the onus is on you to prove it's true, not everyone else to prove it isn't true.

If I was going to take a crack at it, I'd guess I'd start with about 250,000 muslim bodies in the ground in Iraq that were killed by mostly christian Americans.
