Middle East Conflict

Or the Kurdish people or Rohingya in Myanmar, who have been ethnically cleansed. No, of course they don't because it's not Israel or Jews involved.

And if he did, I'd bet that you and the others wouldn't be making numerous posts in it.
You make a good point but at school we were taught all about Moses, Samson, Abraham, Jesus, Herod, Bethlehem etc. Then there's Britain's involvement in the creation of the state of Israel, the Holocaust, nazism.

Not sure many of us know much about Myanmar or the Kurds.

Does everyone feel the same about the displacement and deaths of millions of Syrians and the deaths of thousands of Yemenites as well their humanitarian issues? Not seen a huge thread about it so thought I would comment here. Presume there have been huge protest rallies around the UK?

Yes they overwhelmingly do. Hope that helps.

Yep.

That's why no one's ever heard of the Armenian genocide, Kosovo War, the Rwandan genocide, The Tamil Tigers, the khmer rouge. If it's not Jews and Israel, no one wants to hear about it.

Genocide is an internationally recognized crime where acts are committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. These acts fall into five categories:

  1. Killing members of the group (Palestinian civilians)
  2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group (Open prison of Gaza strip)
  3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part (cutting fuel, power, water .. and forcing them out of their homes to migrate)
  4. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
  5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Perhaps you only see killing millions as genocide.
So the difference is Genocide (Min) for Isreal
And Genocide (Max) for Hamas.
What wonderful whataboutary that is.

A lot of people like to talk about Hamas and Hezbollah wanting to eliminate Israel and, even, kill all Jews in Israel and, for that matter, anywhere in the world. It's a great rallying call handed to them for free by those organisations, but does anyone actually believe they are in any way capable of carrying out that "threat"? It always seems to me to be staggeringly weak intellectually to say Hamas must be eliminated because they want to eliminate Israel and kill all Jews everywhere and then use overwhelming force on a civilian population to do it.
Regardless of the capability, the intent exists. That is the main factor.

Hundreds more Hamas terrorist bases struck. Anyone else amazed that Isreal know the location of all these bases day in day out? Or can we assume some bomb strikes are just guesses and the civilians killed are just casualties of this guessing?
No - intellegence is obtained and targets identified.
