Fundamentalists are the problem and if we are not careful they will do for us all. Fundamentalist
Christian, Muslim , Jewish, left-wing, right-wing, doesn’t matter. Anyone who has an unshakable firm belief where no other possibility or position can be considered or broached risks us all, because to be peaceful is to communicate, to be committed to resolution , to show compassion. Yeah we are miles away at the moment, but hopefully the day will come.At some point dialogue will have to be had.

This is an incredible double standard.

The Israeli PM just quoted a bible passage calling for the mass murder of men, women, children and babies….but it’s totally fine because it’s just internal politics.

That the main protagonists are of different faiths is not in doubt, and I guess religion does come into it, but this and whole conflict is about land

I know what the definition of genocide is.

And, in my view, what the Israelis are doing is mass killing with a view to ethnically cleansing Gaza and making the Palestinians someone else's problem.

It may become genocide later, but it isn't yet.

But the State Of Palestine/Palestinian Authority doesn't exercise control of Gaza, Hamas do and Netanyahu's regime has helped to facilitate that.

Thats quite a narrow oversimplification. Of course it’s about land, but Land that was ‘promised’ to them by their fake god thousands of years ago. To try to disentangle and dismiss religion’s stain on this is bizarre. Not only is it a significant factor in the land being fought over, but the guy is literally using passages from the ‘holy’ bible to justify killing women and children, and there will be millions of ‘harmless’ religious folk nodding their heads in agreement.

I think you need provable intent to accuse someone of genocide, rather than ethnic cleansing. Intent to destroy an ethnic, national, racial or religious group. Not sure you (as in "one" not you personally) can say there is that intent just now. And you certainly can't prove it.

On the other hand, I am not completely sure what the intent actually is, if you assume that the ideology of Hamas can't be removed by force, which is what I believe. That is why I can only think that removing the Palestinians en masse from Gaza is the likeliest. We will see, I suppose.
