Thanks for posting, interesting story, the issue I have with the present situation is when does criticism of Israel become anti semitic?

Thats the big issue, why does criticism of the action of Israel always become anti semitic, FFS they have just used Phosphor bombs, that for me is a disgusting action and brings utter and total shame on the nation and it's people, whatever horrendous events unfolded on the 7/10.

Understandable, the law at it stands at present is an ass and is failing and mostly failing decent law abiding citizens.

You don't. Anti-Semitism, like racism, homophobia and Islamophobia, falls under hate crimes in the UK and motivation has to be taken into account. Even the IHRA says that context has to be taken into account when listing their illustrative examples of anti-Semitism. Doesn't stop people throwing harmful accusations around, of course.

Criticism of Israel's actions isn't anti-Semitic if you hold other countries to the same standard. In the case of white phospherous, I am guessing you do.

I honestly believe you are wrong. Sadly this thread has become a parody of the actual conflict and is possibly why resolution is a long way off. It is clear that there are Jewish people posting,Arab/Muslim people posting with deeply held convictions. But I guess most people on the thread are neither, but have a view that may be unpalatable to one or other side. I do not believe there is hatred here as we are all Blues and will support City and am sure at a match would all shake hands. But research, reasoned debate, is more interesting than bickering over words and definitions, rather than scoring points.

You really think being a city fan outweighs this conflict or politics in general? It was very techy on the terraces with any mention of Palestine. I wish I cared about city enough to outweigh other issues in the world and see past peoples bigotry and hatred
