Middle East Conflict

DEATH UPDATE
13 November 2023

11,180 Palestinians killed
(3,100 are women)

(4,609 are children)

*not including deaths still under the rubble
And considering the amount of ordinance dropped in a month and 6 days in a highly built up area, where Hamas has embedded its forces, command centres and missile launch sites amongst the population of Gaza that is actially a relatively low total - certainly not totally indiscriminate as many imply - especially with the warnings given and they are undoubtedly being given.
Any unnessessay death is certainly unfortunate, and the IDF should be taking a lot more care as many US commanders have commented on. But then again Hamas shouldn't have attacked Israel should they?
It certainly isn't on a par with Syrian destruction of areas not under government control (1/2 a million dead) with Russian style area destruction/ enhililation.

They're Palestinians so they don't matter and no one cares

Too right. I’ll update it periodically regardless.

To keep the thread on-track because armchair virtue signalling prevails over the non-partisan of inhumanity, currently on genocide and ethnic cleansing.

I also noticed the “ignored content” part. I’ll continue ignoring the ivory tower panopticon and be au courant | au fait.

Don't be so ridiculous it's a huge loss of civilian lives whatever way you want to look at it, and the blow back we will get from this will last for years, and do stop the whataboutry other conflicts are irrelevant, israel is part of the West and we don't expect any country to kill on that schale

He said the same thing last week for which he was rightly condemned. He obviously still gives not One fuck about the amount of Palestinian deaths

But everyone knows the tactic to label people racist at the drop of a hat is designed to shut down debate. It’s not really news. It obstructs from real issues like this.

If that is genuine then Israel has crossed the line and is no better than Hamas.

They know what they're doing.

It's difficult to believe that they need media training when the IDF and Israeli government have so many people with PR and communications backgrounds.

Mark Regev (formally Freiberg) was born to German Jews in Australia, as is obvious by his accent. He didn't move to Israel until he was an adult, he isn't got the positions in government or diplomatic posts because of nepotism. He's still around because he's a skilled and committed propagandist.

Peter Lerner is now a reservist working in communications, I noticed this ghastly bloke as the spokesman for the IDF during an operation to move Bedouin people off a scrap of land next to a road in the West Bank. They came along and took their tents and left them destitute in open terrain and exposed to the elements. This was in a documentary presented by Edward Said produced over 25 years ago.
