Middlesbrough post-match thread

We all know how hot headed Nolito is, so it's only right to praise him for not laying one on Traore for that challenge out on the line. The ball was going out, Nolito is going nowhere, so why go in two footed with stud up. Sterling the same, how he didn't lose his head after being systematically fouled (quite a few sly ones but also some nasty I'm going to hurt you ones). The ref's this year are letting to many fouls against Sterling go without punishment, yet if one of our players so much as breath on an opponent it's a free kick and more often than not yellow card. I just want fair play for all, the correct punishment handled in the correct way. Is this to much to ask for (I know the answer sadly).

Glad to still be in the hat, as we made heavy weather of it at times.
For the last three years, I keep thinking to myself that someone is going to take proper caning when these chances are taken, but I'm beginning to doubt that we'll ever do it. We seem to have a mixture of fluffed shots, poor final passes, and people shooting when a square pass would lead to a tap in; that's before we even take into account the goalkeeper having a blinder. Getting greedy I suppose.

I would like to play and beat Spurs in the final. Still havent got over 1981

That's not the ideal situation in our household.

To be honest, I am not looking forward to any of the potential FA Cup fixtures. I cannot stand Arsenal, Utd or Spurs. Chelsea, I don't mind but they are very good

3 points of view 1 dean you gutless fkr, 2 what the fk is negredo doing with this bunch of no marks, 3 city's finishing was a disgrace other than that well done

I saw it differently, thought the front three were decent, De Bruyne was nowhere near the level he should be and in truth was nowhere near the level he needs to be in this team. Not sure what's happened to him recently. Defence did well considering there was no Kompany or Kolarov.
Agree to start with but I thought he got better as the game went on and did some very good passes that on another day would have set up a goal.

Curse of Teeside avoided although it tried to rear its ugly head by keeping the scoreline down and allowing them some hope of another mugging until Sergio nailed the second goal.

Dave shaded MotM from Yaya thanks to more headline moments but Yaya ran that game from start to finish, not just with his near perfect passing display but also the way he constantly directed traffic - and some people used to question why he often got the armband! What a pair Toure and Silva are - and Sergio makes 3 - it will be tough to improve on them.

Sane was wasteful in ways that would have had Jesus (N) crucified but what an insane (no pun) talent he is.

Much better from KDB, who made two or three brilliant tackles and delivered a decent pass completion, despite still fluffing a few easy balls.

Ota had a very fine game all in all; infact all the defence did ok for most of the game. We still allowed too many crosses in but not always the defenders who were at fault.
