Middlesbrough post-match thread

just getting the job done is the hardest part with this city team we cock up some many chances easy tap ins sometimes you shake your head and rub your eyes in what you are seeing but we are getting better at the back and the slip us are not getting punished like early season

today the win was the only result that we needed away in the fa cup is never easy at any level but i was holding my breath every time we was on the ball the grass was so slippy it was like ice the players slip when you turning and maybe it got in the players head and that why we missed a hat full of goals

I look forward to the 5 minute analysis on MOTD of Clayton's leg breaking tackle - but I wont hold my breath. BBC will be looking at how to edit it to make it look an even contest.

Always been a horrible team, club, town and fans, going back to ayresome park. Utter scumbags on the pitch today, genuinely keen to hurt our players, very little protection from Mike dean

Assuming Lincoln and MIlwall are knocked out, my order of preference would be...

Arsenal
United
Chelsea
Tottenham

I'd fancy Tottenham ahead of United and Chelsea personally; I believe United and Chelsea would try to stifle us whereas Tottenham would give us a greater opportunity to play our own game.

You lot are making it up! Could've been 10, my arse! I've just watched the 3 minute highlights on BBC sport, and clearly Boro had as many chances as us. Admittedly their write-up seems to describe a different game to the highlights, but the evidence is there for all to see...

Good point, I just think Tottenham have a better and pacier defence, and if we draw them at home then we really are in trouble.
