Might Jack Grealish play for City again?

Prime example of what i've been talking about with Jack and how he set up goals for us. Crosses the ball in for Ndiaye, who lays it up for Gueye to score.

BuT whAt Do tHE "StaTfuCKs" saY..?? Assist for Ndiaye, as if that was the primary factor in the goal.
But without Grealish's cross, there IS no goal for Gueye.
Still not an assist.lol.

One commentator said it a few games ago, he got clattered a lot more for us cos every team had a low block and he was taken out as an immediate threat. Teams don't set up the same against Everton or when he was at villa which is why he has(had) so much more freedom..
I would love Jack to come back, but highly doubt it

As misused as ‘run’ when there’s no running involved?…
“Run” is acceptable in the context in which I used it, same as a “school run”

“Legend” would only be acceptable in my example if something truly extraordinary had happened to the lad in question on said coffee run

You seem to feel you have some sort of lawful ownership of the correct definition of the word ‘legend’.

What my gran once called ‘gay’ is no more. The meaning and context of words change.

That’s all we’re talking about here. A different view on what constitutes a legend.

And no **** is going to gainsay my subjective interpretation of that word.

All I can say is ...

We love him, and he seems to like us.

I hope he stays here.

I'm amazed that so much emphasis was always placed upon what this 20-something did in his spare time.

I never once saw him show anything less than full effort on the pitch. I've also said before - for those who are locked into stats, stats and nothing but the stats - that the key pass leading to a goal is not always the final ball, so the actual creator is often given no credit for his contribution.

The reaction of the other players, whenever celebrating on the pitch, suggested that he was a very popular player, and they're the bunch who would best know whether he was pulling his weight or not.

Apart from when he's playing against City, I hope he has a terrific season.
Thankfully, he won’t be permitted to play against us this season.

My ERO spy tells me he was kicked all over the fucking show today and just about had had enough by FT and consequently got booked for kicking off at the Red Menace. I also hear that an EFC player was booked for taking a free kick before the useless England could get the whistle to his mouth. Question for Darren that MotD won't ask: Are you gonna book everyone which the LotG require or are you gonna book players after you have weighed up the merits of the case and the colour of the shirt?
KDB was booked for the same v Newcastle. We actually ‘scored’ as well. The ref was Tierney I think

The “gay” example isn’t relevant

Fwiw I believe Jack is much nearer to being a legend than the kid in the coffee story.

Your use of the word “****” is apposite and not without precedent in my personal interactions

You have an option to buy at £50m so I expect he will stay at Everton.

I only created this topic because I was nervous about the Manchester Derby and wanted to talk about something else.
Nice win v Manure by the way.

Still not the point.lol.
An example of how the obsession with assists these days can be overrated. Obviously if someone is getting 15 assists a season they must be doing something right. On the other hand Jack has 4 already this season. One was a good cross fair play, 2 of them were fairly simple passes where someone hit a worldie and the other was a header back across goal for someone. The eye test of a player every week is much more important. He’s clearly a very good footballer but for Everton he gets more space like he did for Villa instead of City. He wasn’t stand out amazing for us in the treble season and he was never really shit in the other 3 seasons. Good player, not world class.

Disgraceful comment by Dalglishs daughter who solely got work due to her talent. "He does now" about Jacks booking. I hate Liverpool and any biased person at rag/Dipper Central who provides their propaganda. Bring back Lineker.

I think you've invented your own alternate reality there. Grealish was far from being considered the immediate threat in a team with the likes of haaland, kdb, foden, mahrez etc etc.

infact, His old club Villa paid him the ultimate disrespect when they beat us by devising a gameplan around forcing us to give the ball to Grealish as much as possible and even gave him all the space in the world out wide knowing that he was by far our least threatening player in the side.

Let’s see what dictionary.com has to say on the matter:

‘an extremely famous or notorious person, especially in a particular field.’

Sounds like he’s a legend to me.
