Mike Doyle anniversary

Saw Doyle play in youth cup against manu in about 1964. He put himself about a bit and the whole thing got very tasty. MEN headline the next day: " O you naughty boys! " He just hated those Rags!.

He played like all supporters would like to , wore his heart on his sleeve and hated everything Rag , in over 50 years my favourite City player , (not the best player that's between Bell and Silva) , the nearest thing in modern day football would be Zabs with Vinny a very close second , R-I-P Tommy Doyle you will never be forgotten

Oh for half his physical presence in any of our midfield players.
None of our players dare give anything less than 100% when he was in our team.

Cannot believe you have all remembered my Dad's anniversary...........REALLY TOUCHED.
Thank you to you all, my Dad would be so grateful as he loved you all. CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!
Hi Scott, worked with your granddad Tommy at Manchester Magistrates Court for a long time. Remember when your dad was called up for the England squad, your granddad issued an " every one in the pub at lunchtime" directive. As you know, it would have been foolish to ignore! Not much work done that afternoon. Your dad epitomised everything I love about City, I will never forget him.

A Blue Giant. Current DM difficulty solved if we find a man half as good as Mick. Loved him.

I loved him as a kid in the 1970's

Spoke with him once on Whiteacre Road in Ashton when he was walking his dog

Any younger blues his autobiography is highly recommended " Blue blood "

R I P Mike
