Chris Greenacre had a reasonable career in the lower divisions, now plays in New Zealand.
Didn't he score against us for Crewe in the last minute or summat?

-- Sun Jul 08, 2012 7:59 pm --

What happened to Gary mason. He was good. Think he played for st mirren or summat.
Scored the first against Notts County in a 7-1 win before we realised we weren't getting out of divish 2 so easy. Fuck knows where he went.

Scored in the worthington cup I seem to remember. 7-1 win over notts county. For some reason I liked him.

I liked him too, but was quite young at the time as wasnt aware enough really to see how good he was.

Nick Fenton was in the side at the same time.
me too. I was 9 at the time. Craig Russell scored 2 against Halifax in the FA cup first round. Thought he was good because of this. Then he scored a cheeky lob at York.

Mike Quigley was Garry Flitcroft's assistant manager at Chorley in 2010/11. Best mates from their time at City when Flitty used to clean Quigley's boots!

This is the youth team that lost in the final of the Youth Cup to Watford in 1989.
The number next to those named are the appearances in the first team they made.

Martyn Margetson 59
Neil Lennon 1
John Wills
Mark Peters
Gerry Taggart 13
Mike Quigley 13
Ian Thompstone 1
Ashley Ward 3
Jason Hasford
Michael Hughes 33
Michael Wallace
Sub Mike Sheron 119
Sub Colin Small
Total appearances = 242

how I wish Margetson made 59 less.

58 less, I seem to remember him coming on as a centre forward in a cup game at Maine Road, cant for the life of me remember who we played though.

Wycombe in the league cup, I think we'd used up all outfield subs. He was better than David James as an outfield player but this is irrelevant now I think about it because Margetson along with Pollock were responsible for the QPR shambles in 98. Margetson handing the ball to the QPR player who put it into an empty net. I think his name was... Mike Sheron.

Cunts! I thought I'd put that game to bed but it's still there. Never mind, we still got a point. If we beat Stoke and the other results go our way next week then we should be safe. Aaaaargh!
