Met Buzzer at Manchester airport (Ringway) in the 70's , only a couple of minutes in the lift , he was with his missus ,on the way to Majorca , just a down to earth bloke , a well deserved award he bleeds blue.
Couldnt imagine any of the current Premier league superstars mixing with the great unwashed , they would have hired a private jet to Bali.

One of my heroes as a kid. Love him.

When my eldest daughter (she's 40 next month) was in her late teens, she and her mate went in the Spread Eagle in Romiley, literally across the road from where he lived. The only available seats were opposite a couple "about my (dad's) age" and started chatting to them. She hadn't a clue who they were but enjoyed their company. When they introduced themselves and got the couple's names in return, she told him, awestruck, "you're one of my dad's all time favourite players!"
