Mike Summerbee you are legend

Rooney was terrible except for the goal. This goal will give him at least a 6 month reprieve with the the United-adoring media if Rooney, the 54th top scorer in the Premier League, continues to play so poorly.

I'm sorry. If you can not agree that was a great goal, you have never seen a great goal.

This isn't me gloating. It was a great goal and is odds on to win goal of the season. Fwiw Rooney was never MOM. Smalling was our best player. Kompany was MOM.

You must have been one hell of a player.

Smalling looked pretty solid. He played Tevez better than Ferdinand and John Terry have ever done.

Just seen it and Im so proud of Buzzer. He clearly would not accept that the scum were the better team. He bleeds blue. Love him and is a legend.

It was a class goal not a great goal! If it didn't have the deflection it would of been a great goal and goal of the season! Take your red tinted specks off for once!

They weren't

Indeed they weren't but I don't think anyone on Sky was saying they was, which made it slightly sad in my opinion.

But what the hell as the deflection of a cross got to do with anything? Where does that end? if Xavi passes a ball to Villa, it cuts out but falls to Messi who goes round 8 players and scores, it's not a great goal because the Xavi's pass deflected into path of Messi?

The goal is great because of the technique, not the cross.

Nope even on MoTD when they had a wank fest about Rooney and Nani for 10 miutes yet failed to mention about Silva's threat or even Kompany's awesome defending (except when they showed 2 clips of Kompany haing Rooney in his back pocket)

On Match of the day, they were talking about how poor Rooney was and then what a goal he scored. Which was correct.

They (Hansen) also then said "Kompany was man of the match"..

Do people ever watch Match of the Day? After the game, they only usually mention

1. The quality of the winning team.
2. The poor defending of the opposition.

It's rarely ever changed.
