Milner in CM

Barry has been better than Milner and Yaya for me so far this season, but Milner is much more versatile, and Yaya offers more in the final third. Its just fantastic to have all these options and choices, its these kind of conundrums where Mancini earns his crust.

I've been very pleased with the performances of Barry, Milner, Vieira, DeJong and Yaya in centre mid - my only critisim would be that they need to start to chip in with a few goals. Ideally if they could muster 6~ goals each then that would be mustard.

Hopefully when m.Johnson comes back he can start rattling them in!

Wakey wakey that was the midfield on Sat and he slated, Yaya plays much further forward than JM did last night and that isn't his position he needs a deeper lying role ala last night, but still Barry for me mainly because of his superior passing ability.

While Yaya has just been poor in almost every game in a number of positions. Oh and cheers for waking me up

In a previous post discussion on the City players in the England v France game I made the point that:

"Milner looked eager throughout, working hard as always, but I do feel that he will be best suited in a City side playing more centrally, even if that's to the detrement of Gaz Baz."

I think that RM suits his team to the challenges of the opposition and there will be matches and formations when Barry is best suited as a holding midfielder and others when the industry and mobility of Milner will be more appropriate. Central midfield will be Milners best position ultimately.
