Does anyone else think it's obscene that we might end up paying 30 for Milner when we could get Ozil for 10m less?! That kid will be the best midfielder in the world by the time he's 24 and Milner is just a decent workhorse

imo milner and ozil are two different players mate, weve just bout Silva to do what Ozil could do, so no its not.

I thik I'd prefer Milner to Ozil. I might be wrong - I'm only guessing - but I get the impression that Milner is hungrier and more likely to stand up and be counted when the going gets tough over the next few seasons. We are going to have a big squad and there will be an almightly scramble to start games. I'd like to think that Milner, Ireland and MickeyJ can fight it out for 1 or 2 places in the starting 11. In the same way thwat I'd like to see Yaya, Barry and DeJong gight it out for 1 or 2 places. Or Silva, Johnson, Bellamy fighting it out. Or Tevez, Ade, ?NewStriker? fighting it out.

Good times! :-)

CTID!

I'm surprised how many people leave Adebayor out of their projected line-ups. Odd.

me too! I expect him to be exceptional this season... 25 goals +

That World Cup must surely be remembered for the fact that the best team I have seen not winning the World Cup , fair play to Italy like

MCFC OK

Very true, the greatest team I have ever seen in my lifetime.

Zico, Falco, Junior, Socrates - AMAZING.

It's only in recent years that I discovered the format was a little different then in terms of qualifying.

Typical Brazil, they didn't need to go for the win against Italy, and got done by Rossi.

Zoff made an incredible save in the dying minutes.

Broke a seven-year-old's heart.

Ha ha I was 8 and you forgot about Eder , class oh and there useless centre forward

MCFC OK

Werder have publicly stated Ozil is available for 20 million euro's, around £17 million. However, Silva is better than Ozil and Ozil plays in Silva's posistion, not Milners. Personally i would increase our offer for milner to £20million plus 3 in add ons, i would also open talks with Everton to sign Arteta so Villa know that we have alternatives. think about it, if we don't budge from £23million Villa will either have to accept or have a player on there books who has publically stated he doesn't want to be with them any more. I hope we have learn't from the Lescott saga.

I was 23 and was in Spain following England! Brazil underestimated Italy (and Rossi in particular)..

Having said that, to see Italy destroy W Germany was a sight for sore eyes. In the end, I'd say Italy deserved it

i think the way we have done business so far shows we have learnt from a few mistakes in the last window(s). just hope we continue to use some logic with milner.
