villa fan in peace lads,
firstly you guys seem to think all your getting for you money is a work horse utility player, Jimmy Milner is much much more than that. He has been raised as a winger but since O'neill switched him to centre mid he's been a revelation, he's got the best engine in the prem, he's still making sixty yard runs in the 93rd minute, he's got great vision for a through ball, can shoot from anywhere, and because he was a winger he ghosts past people in the middle of the park like they're not there and when he drops wide to help out your wingers he can put in great crosses with either foot ( yes he's two footed left or right makes no difference to jimmy) i'm qualified to tell you this as i've watched nearly every game he's played for the villa, you guys are basing your knowledge on MOTD highlights you just haven't seen enough to analize his game, trust me your your getting one hell of a player who's just gettin better and better god knows how good he'll become training with your squad! in the long run 18 mill and Ireland will seem a bargain and it aint like your stuck for the dough is it.

so what are we getting in Ireland? I thought he was class two years ago, but i've seen a lot of players over the years who were class two years ago who disappear never to be seen again......villa signed most of em.

Anyway good luck with knocking them big headed bastards up the road down a peg or two, I for one cant wait to see old purple nose's face when they're not even the best team in manchester
I think a change of club will benefit Ireland and MON may be able to get the best out of him.Sven Goran Ericson said Ireland was the most technically gifted player he had ever worked with but everything has to be right with him, his mind his fitness and general well being.Good luck to you this season but not against us!.

Good luck, yourself. Thanks for that.

Also, Mancini's signings have so far looked solid. Adam Johnson, Kolarov, Silva, Boateng, Yaya. He's not like Hughes.

So if he sees something in Milner, there might be something to it. ;)

"The Lionheart", what a friggin team we are bulding..
Last nights first half team was amazing. That was really the first time its hit me of how far we have come and what a hell of a team we have. Even all the subs were replaced by quality and a few stars of the future. On top of an expected few more additions WOW! Were gonna win the league!

bloody hell an opposition fan thats not slagging us, I'm amazed. Thanks for the heads up mate and thanks for the "good luck". As for Ireland you are getting a player that needs to play regular and in his natural position (attacking midfielder), he's a confidence player that needs games. If MON plays him regular as an attacking midfielder he will be excellent for you, his passing and finishing is excellent but he no pace and can't tackle in fact he couldn't tackle one of your wonderful balti pies!
Ireland has suffered at City because Tevez drops deep and plays in the same areas that Ireland likes to occupy, I don't think you can look at last season on how good he is as he was played out of position, either too deep or wide right. Good luck to you and Villa BTW, I really hope Ireland is a success for you then we can buy him back ;)
