Suprised but pleased if its gone through in the end (if indeed it has). It just needed to happen both for Ireland and Milner.
I have to say I have a huge amount of respect for Stevie in this, he kept his mouth shut and showed dignity even though he clearly does not want to go to Villa - which is why he held out for the barmy payout.
Fair play he deserves it having to uproot himself from Manchester when he never wanted to move.
The stuff we heard about Platt and him at training yesterday - I found that quite hard to take TBH, But if we want to progress we have to get better players in that fit in with the managers plans I guess.
Bellamy should looked at the way Stevie played this and just be ashamed IMO at the way he has treated the fans. Dunne and Ireland have both shown you dont have to fuck the fans on your way out of a club.
