Whether he plays wide or central, which is his preference, he's needs players with pace around him to look good and Mancini's problem is how and who he accomplishes this. Richards has looked good going forward this season because he has pace to burn and that highlights our deficiency. At the risk of being pilloried I take Young over AJ. AJ has the skills but Young is faster and has a little more to his game.

Back to the origin of the post, I agree Milner was great last night. I hope he plays on the weekend, a decent run in the team would see him improve greatly and I wana see that I think he's quality.

Also, as has already been said...What was with playing our boys for ages ahead of this important weekend and resting the scum players? We should of had some players "pull out" or like someone said, demand that Cappello take our boys off after X amount of time!

A bit worried about Boateng who came on for Germany in the second half but only got a 3.9 rating out of 10, so does anybody know what happened to him? Kompany also got a lowish rating. Saving themselves for the Derby I hope.

I like Milner,I think he gets alot of unfair stick at times,if the young acadamy players moulded themselves to be half the pro that Milner is the future is bright in terms of young talent coming out of city,he doesn't drink,he's not in the papers gobbing off every week you never see him falling out of a nightclub at 3 in the morning,he goes to training in the week gives 100% on the pitch at a weekend

Thought he had a good game last night too and has done well for us in his last few outings. The lad's got bags of talent and I'm glad its coming through more and more. I'm not too bothered either that he played 90 mins for England, I don't think there's a fitter player around and I've no doubt he could do another 90 on Saturday.

What I don't understand is why, when he plays wide for England, he looks good, but when he plays wide for us, he's usually poor ? (Yet looks great in the middle for us.)

I notice the favoured "four" clubs all saw their players rested tonight, Wooney, Lampard, Cole, Wilshere, Dawson, but not Milner or Hart, maybe I'm just paranoid. (I suppose Barry was rested).

Yes, we thought that as well, noticed that Rooney didn't play a full game, not that he was that good anyway, but Milner and Hart stayed the game, he had a good game Milner, if he plays on saturday i just hope he plays as well as last night.

Minelr is seriously underrated on here. He is a class player, hasnt put a foot wrong. Puts alot of work in that doesnt get credit but needs to be done.
