My only two concerns about Kerkez were his height and his stamina. There was nothing he could do about the former, of course, but he's gone from 1,976 League minutes last season and finishing only 10 of 28 games to 3,169 minutes and finishing 31 of 36 games. That's a big jump, particularly in the games completed, so one can understand why he would be attractive.

That's an interesting angle, hadn't realised they were at AZ together. They had some good results that season too.

Only narrowly lost to West Ham in the ECL Semi's as well. Some decent wins over Ajax and PSV.

He'd be a good addition to either squad. Has a good cross on him, i'm sure Haaland will want him.

Tbh it would make no sense from the player’s point of view. He’d start every week as Robertson’s replacement but for us, from one week to the next we change what our full backs do. Sometimes we’d play Kerkez but other times we’d play someone to invert into midfield and occasionally we’d go for a pure 1v1 defender like Ake. There no certainty, no predictability. I think we should expect him to still join Liverpool.

He`d start every week for us imo mate. A new RB & LB would hopefully mean a more traditional system

I agree he's probably dipper bound, don't agree we won't be doing anything until after Sunday though, our plans won't be determined by whether we're in thr champions league or not, we've got thr club world cup that will cover that loss in revenue in the worst scenario.

If we go into another season with no fucking left back, I'm going to be furious. I mean we've won everything with a makeshift left back, but Christ on a bike, when was the last time we had someone who was primarily a left back? Ake and Gvardiol are centre backs, Cancelo was a right back, O'Reilly and Delph were midfielders, Zinchenko was a converted attacking midfielder. Just buy a left back ffs!
