I had a quick scan of a couple of seasons the other day and when we won the league in 1937, United got relegated and were 25 points behind us!
Oh yeah, of course.
In that case, it would have been:
City 22 wins 13 draw would be 79 points
United 10 wins 12 draws would be 42 points
So in today’s terms we would have been 37 points above them.
We've been in different divisions so you could argue that it has been much bigger but in terms of 3 points for a win it's the biggest City over Utd. I know the maths has been done for 1937 - I suppose we should also do the maths for seasons where we've been behind Utd too!
Nah. Let them do their own calculator work. We've been in different divisions so you could argue that it has been much bigger but in terms of 3 points for a win it's the biggest City over Utd. I might give it a go - if it works in our favour I'll let everyone know!Nah. Let them do their own calculator work.
