A bottle of vodka would be about £15 then based on 2 units on a 50ml serving. So that's the price of snirnoff but also the minimum price. So are you going to pay the £15 for tescos own or another cheaper brand or go for smirnoff? Or will smirnoff just increase their price to keep the differential.
From what i can gather so faqr it seems that the price will be per unit of alcohol so the cheaper brands will be hit hardest, as well as the super strength lagers etc, but the big supermarkets that use the booze as loss leaders will have to find another way to entice you into their stores for the "BIG SHOP," and as the price of the multi-buy offers ends, it may mean that the difference between a carry out and the price in the pubs isnt as great, which "COULD" lead to more people frequenting the pub rather than a dozen strongbow and round to the mates
