I am really beginning miss my matchdays now.
My lad cant afford to attend many this season. We did the place game.
It feels like part of me is missing.

I enjoyed the drive up and back and spending great father and son time together. I havent seen my lad since the palace game.
We text daily and as a match is going on but it's not the same.

I missing not being among City fans, even the moaning ones and the leave early ones lol.
I missing singing myself horse, having a beer in Mary D's before the match, the chippie next door.

Feels like my routine has been ripped apart.

Its hard to put into words I simply miss watching City live.

Hopefully we can get to a few away games down here in the south and perhaps a few more at home. We just need to see what the fuel and food hike is.

Anyone missing not going ?

Mr. Ed likes this post !!!

Cheer up blue, best thing to do is look forward, make plans for games you’d like to attend, and if you have one join a local supporters club, even if it’s a fair few miles away. I know it’s not the same but you can support City from anywhere in the world (in different ways) we’ve all felt this during lockdown, keep things up with the lad and get yourself to the pub Sunday on your favourite City shirt & give the shandy drinking rags hell

You are suffering from a bad dose of separation anxiety.
Like losing an arm or a leg. You cannot really celebrate the victories or mourn the defeats.
You need a plan, pick a few matches , stick em on a calendar and make those days special, get the train , have few beers, get into the NQ for drinks and Lunch.
If you don't life will become unbearable,

Life without City, not a place to visit.

Good luck.

I'm fortunate in that Mrs Lavinda goes to the match with me when our lad isn't able to make it (due to university studies, projects, travel etc).

I stopped going solo quite a few years back due to having a 400+ miles round trip for home games.

Funny thing is that I didn't really miss not going after donkey's years of regular attendance. It was just one of those things. Indeed, it was only because my kids wanted to go that I got back into the swing of it again and renewed/got new season cards.

We only actually go to PL home games now. Thanks to the Internet, we haven't missed a kick of any game for ages, and we can still have our to and fro 'banter' while watching many miles apart.

At the end of the day, it's only football... ;-)

if your looking for a football fix thats not going to interrupt watching city on tv/net then have a look at your local non-league sides.

I did it, helped not go city and brought my enthusiasm back

If you want some company I’m happy to drive/share the driving. I used to get the train most of the time but with the tickets not being released until a week before it’s becoming a real ballache.

Sometimes I go for the whole weekend but even that’s becoming rarer now.

But yes I’m response to your original question I miss going to the match and the whole experience.
