These sonars that the divers use are brilliant. I’ve watched these American divers on YouTube that search for long lost bodies in lakes/rivers and they normally find them with ease. Although most of the time these bodies are in vehicles so I’d imagine it is a bit more difficult just trying to find a body.

The guy who searched the river says if he'd have known at the time she had alcohol issues, he'd have done a completely different type of search. As it was, he only search as if she'd slipped

Sonar doesn't differentiate between how someone entered the water
