Mixed teams could it/ will it happen

Surely the whole point of endurance sport is to run further? Therefore men are better at cross country as they run 2km further?

Was naughty of you to put discus in there if they’re a lot lighter.

So if men are faster and run further, can you qualify how women are, in your words, “better” and in which particular endurance sports.

I have explained what I meant by endurance and don't feel the need to repeat myself.

Also not interested in a back and forth over a subject I really don't care about.

Original post will we see a mixed football team, answer no .

Doubt it, the genetics are too heavily weighted in favour of the lads. How many women would make it into the average XI? 1? Not enough. Can't think of a mixed sex sport where there isn't some form of handicap.
I wouldn't say even 1 tbh.
The women's game is relatively new. I'm really happy that it is now getting the recognition it deserves, however, in addition to genetics the men's game is advanced. Men, in general, will always have more power, pace, strength etc but the way players are developed from a really early age means that the women's game has a long way to go until it can catch up.
Then, there's the ratio of men to women. How many boys at school dreamt of being a footballer and carried a ball around with them everywhere they went? Compare that to the girls. The sudden boom in women's football probably means there's more girls playing now. There's probably all girls games kicking off in the playgrounds, however, will there ever be as many girls obsessed with being a footballer as boys? And, how many of them boys actually make it? I hope the women's game continues to grow but there will never be fully mixed teams. It wouldn't work. The sudden boom in women's football as brought about this question, but will there ever be mixed cricket, boxing, rugby, basketball, athletics, netball.....?

In my honest opinion the mens game and womens games are almost a different sport, mixing them would be catastrophic for women.

Equestrianism (including horse racing), ‘indoor sports’ like darts and snooker and sailing are mixed with no handicap.

To be more precise there is the fallback of competing in the women only events if they get knocked out of the male competitions, snooker for example has a womens world champion who has won the title 12 years in a row but hasn't made an impact at all in the mens game, same for darts really. If we remove the female versions of sports and just allow all people regardless of gender to compete against each other they we are left with men winning most if not everything in sight.
If we genuinely want to see sport mixed and for that mixing to herald in a new meritocracy then we have to just have a world championship of any sport and none that only one sex can enter in to.

It worked fine for the soccer aid game, the women held their own,it'll never happen in the prem because the FOC's in the suits wouldn't let it,several of our womens team could play with us,it won't happen anyway, too much misogine(sp) to let it happen
there isn't one single woman anywhere in the world that could play for our first team and to think 2 or 3 of our womens team would get a game is absolutely ridiculous
