Mixing with people in the workplace

My sociopathic manager would force socialising and freeze you out if you didn't go. Evil woman.

It's not overtly bad where I am now. Numerous attended a pre-wedding shindig and a leaving meal because they appeared to like the colleagues. There's no drinking clique and everyone is invited. No pressure to attend either.

I worked for a small southern Irish firm which employed mainly employees from Dublin and went to the Xmas do together with another lad from the warehouse. It was a great evening overall but decided it was time to call it a night when they started to bang out Irish rebel songs.

Monday morning I was invited to go to the office and asked why I left and didn't join in with the singing and party atmosphere, after explaining that myself and the lad from the warehouse were English and were both ex army the idiot still didn't understand and I couldn't be bother to explain it to him any more. Neither myself or the other lad made a complaint and the Irish people we worked with were in the main lovely people but it wasn't long before I found new employment and sacked the job off that was run by a revolutionary nutter.

Uncle Wally that's my company to a tee !! I found myself back in the job market after 20 years of doing a job I loved and I thought I had landed in a parallel universe!!! I work in a department where they are all friendly to each other face to face, but as soon as one isn't around they will pick that person to bits like a wolf pack on a carcass!!! It's always someone else's fault never theres, constantly trying to get people into trouble over minor things, was told by a jumped up secretary that I was lucky to have a job the other day and I should work harder , she was painting her toenails at her desk as she said this and could not see the irony in her statement !!!!

Dont suppose she had a short skirt and pair of stockings on by any chance, the Mrs has the decorators in so I was just wond......

Tuerts right boot well she didn't have stockings on she was painting her toenails !!! She ain't the brightest crayon in the box but even she has worked that out !!! Lol !!

Once in a job i tend to be a long term employee as a result i'v only worked at 3 firms, i was lucky as the vast majority of my workmates were City fans and RWNJs so i was as happy as a pig in shit, rags and wet liberal types were mainly marginalised and tended to skulk in dark corners of the factories as outcasts and didn't seem to last long, we often went out together after work on a Friday and sometimes met up in Town after a game and had a few beers, great blokes....and one great girl....happy days
