MLB 2016

I'm a Giants fan. We're currently doing really well, a 9 game winning streak. Poor pitching has cost us earlier in the season, but Peavy and Cain are starting to look more solid.

8 game ban as well for that punch.
Worth it. Jose flipped his bat. Bush pegged him. It should have been over with then and there. Instead, Jose was butt-hurt and had to try and take out Odor. They came at each other, and he got jacked. From the reaction around the league, most people thought it was a long time coming.

Yeah, no doubt he deserved it! Sliding across the base the way he did (illegal under the new rules) although I don't think it's a good rule, he definitely had it coming!

It's an even year and the Giants are starting to look good. Who'd a thunk it?

Mets fan here...

NL East looks like it's going to be close. Phillies doing really well, Nationals look very strong with their new coach who's got them playing to their potential and we're pretty solid in most departments. Although I think persevering with David Wright might be a mistake as will relying on the long ball. Not sure we can repeat or better last year but it's great to have talents like Thor, deGrom, Matz, Colon-) and the return of Wheeler due mid-summer. Bullpen is strong, middle infield with Cabrera and Walker looks as good as anyone and watching Conforto and La Potencia hit is quite something. I've never liked Harvey though, too big an ego and he rarely looks fit to me, I was fuming watching game 5 of the WS, Collins should've just laid the law down there and then. But they were just the better team so... Anyway it'll be interesting to see if he can recover his speed and command, beyond the 4th inning, tonight in a "massive" game vs The Gnats. I'll be watching on my iPad via the MLB app. Until I fall asleep or Harvey loses it in the 5th...?

The division will probably come down to H2Hs so some big series coming up.

Ha ha

As a Brit I don't really get the rivalries (other than the Yanks obviously) so it's a little lost on me, but here goes...

Phuck you!

;-)
The Mutts and Phillies are both in the NL East. NYC acts like nothing matters unless it happens there, Philly is about 1.5 hours south of there and is sick and tired of hearing about the Mutts all the time. And when they're good (which isn't often) they invade CBP in Philly and are completely obnoxious. And to top it off they all look like this:

And they all drive these:

I know they're division rivals and I'm not surprised there is a rivalry but I just can't appreciate from this side of the pond.

I quite like the Phillies, seems a good club. But I'm sure that a bunch of New Yarkers invading town wouldn't go down well as I'm sure a few are tossers. The Mets do seem to have a good travelling support though. 7 Line Army and all that. Do any other fans travel much? Or is it mainly "ex-pats"?

Anyway we're getting back in the game...
