Spot on assessment this. The Mets have been playing mediocre Baseball for over 3 months now. Even as a Mets fan I can make no case at all for them making the play-offs as frankly they don't belong in them.It's a joke. This is a team with two first-ballot HOFers in Lindor and Soto, plus Alonso, Diaz and many other good players and a huge payroll. Yet they're tied with the fucking Reds for the last WC berth. Not to mention 12 games behind the Philly trash who are a mediocre team at best.
I don't really blame Mendoza but Stearns gambled with the staff this year and it's blown up in his face.
Just seen the highlights of the Cubs game will take the win ( go Diaz 6 k's )It's a joke. How we won last night is literally the only way we can win - scoring 9 or more runs! Problem is we burned all the decent pen arms yesterday and relying on scoring 9 or more every night just isnt sustainable Im afraid. Id love to see it but I expect them to come crashing back to earth tonight once again - I hope not but Im scarred by the largely awful pitching and poor defence weve played for over 3 months.Just seen the highlights of the Cubs game will take the win ( go Diaz 6 k's )

I think you have a very clear idea now :(Tigers have the second best record in baseball and I still shit myself every night and have no idea what or how our potential playoff rotation will be and perform

Great effort from them.Well, the Guardians made history, winning the division from 15.5 games back. It was a party atmosphere in the stadium once the Tigers result came through, but it says a lot about Cleveland that they still fought back from 3 down in extra innings to win.
