Well sat in Yankee stadium, it’s actually smaller than I thought, £45 a ticket up in the gods but a great view. If this is this the future of football though they can fuck right off, horrendous pricing inside and for clothing etc. Yep I know I’m a daytripper and you can see why they want them, plenty buying stuff $140 a shirt which is comparable to what we are charging now.
Going to enjoy it as I’ve never been to a game before wish they’d turn the music down though I’m a FOC.

Watching the Yankees defence is like my time playing under 12's cricket 30 years ago. Jays are so fun right now.
 
Some crazy scores last night with 3 games having 25 runs or more in the game.

Milwaukee Brewers won 16-9 at Washington, Yankees lost 13-12 at Miami Marlins but the most astonishing result was in Colorado where the Pittsburgh Pirates were 9-0 up after the first innings against by far the worst team in the MLB this season and contrived to lose 17-16.
 
Love it, the boo birds out at Citi Field on Thursday But was it for Soto hitting the homer or for ruining the Guardians shut out ffs.
How to beat the Mets have a Dave Wright day, that worked not, get the Straw to turn up to see Pete beat he's record ffs
The Mets are typical City guess thats why I love them FFS ;-)
 
The team is a nightmare right now, I saw the other day we're below .500 since June 1st? The Helsley and Rogers pickups should help but everything is going wrong at the moment. Be glad to have City back on Saturday.

To Mets fans is it me or is Soto slow/ lazy/ or couldn't be arsed in right field from the limited coverage I see all three apply :-(

I think that's just his manner. Agree he can come across as cocky or overly casual sometimes, but everything I hear about his work ethic suggests it's just superficial. On the radio broadcast a few weeks ago they were mentioning he often takes BP if he's not expected to hit in a particular inning, that's almost unheard of for an established player.

His defense is increasingly poor though. I think he'll start DHing more next year and end up there permanently within the next few seasons.

Thanks, just seems he can get a wriggle on stealing base ;-)
2 games blown from a leading position ffs, can Mets starting pitching get to 5 th inning ? and those two trade for the bull pen love teeing up the opposition line up.
Oh well LGFM :-)

Made the same comment to my group chat earlier. We have one of the largest payrolls in the league, the offense has been better lately, but there's nobody on the staff who can get past the 5th and the bullpen has been found out. I like Stearns but he needs to rethink his strategy.

At the same time as you say, that's life as a Mets fan and who knows, maybe they'll get hot tomorrow...

Well I missed him in the 9th, but Vientos at bat in the 5th 1 run RBI he was on the telly a blue Brother City shirt stood next to Marc Bolan may be ;-)
