Neville and carragher were talking about city's style of play and whether they should stick with the 442 against Barca.

Neville says we should keep 442 as it is our philosophy but the players should work harder than ever. Carragher thinks we need an extra man in midfield.

They were showing clips of PSG and Bayern using the 442 to good effect last season against Barca.

Was very interesting.

Thanks for that. I couldn't hear what they were saying, I can only watch MNF with the sound down when Carragher is on.

4-4-2 vs 4-3-3 in big games.. what is your preference?

Has anybody been watching MNF tonight? Great debate between Neville and Carragher on whether or not City should employ another man in midfield in the big games such as Barca and Chelsea. It's an interesting point that has been raised on here throughout the season, and I recall a lot of us (including myself) bemoaning the lack of a third midfielder at home to Bayern and praising Pellegrini for choosing it in the Bayern/Chelsea away games, which generally worked quite well (ignoring the freak Torres goal). Neville made some excellent points about preferring to play better players and asking them work hard, rather than lesser players who work hard.. whereas Carragher made the point that our midfield two will inevitably struggle at times when we dont have the ball.

For the record, I agree with Neville that we shouldn't change a system that we now seem to really enjoy and are winning games with.

How would you like to see us set up?

Them 2 interesting, ? rat boy talking through gritted teeth no doubt,I am watching the demise of Hayley on the street, don't want to listen to that twat talking bout the demise of the rags in a bit

Going be akward for me away from home and in big games a 4 2 3 1 or a 4 4 1 1 where the 1 when we are not in possession makes upo a 5 man midfield
