Modric: "Spurs are Superior to City"

In some aspects they are better than us but there are so many aspects of our team that are superior to theirs. It is all mind games. Spurs play a specific form of football that relies mainly on pace and height take away the pace and the height , they would struggle . We on the other hand would not need pace and height as our football would see us through. Modric himself is a great player and would thrive in our team but I think he will have to eat his words come the 10th of May .

they play better by a margin at the moment

As evidenced by their two points from their last three games against Wolves, Blackpool and West Ham.

As much as some would like to think different, they're not in better form than us, they're not more free scoring than us, and right now they're not a better side than us.

I would imagine the vast majority of people believe Spurs are a better team than us. It's hardly the most outlandish of comments.

Long cross ball/hoof to Crouch and a couple of fast wingers. A full strength, fully charged City would piss on them. Just my opinion of course.

On paper, yes, city are better but look at the way we play football, it's so fucking boring. Spurs are a better team.

While Spurs are looking forward to a UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final against Real Madrid, Manchester City have already been knocked-out of the Europa League.

Based on this, it's very hard not to agree with Luka Modric's assessment.

Incredibly selective but i don't blame you for backing and agreeing with him.

You have had a fantastic run but i don't think you will win it and therefore you will need to get that 4th spot again.

Tell us again....how have your last 3 league games gone?

Well we haven't lost any of our last three.

How have City's last three gone?

And I don't think we'll win the Champions League this season either.

But we'll certainly give it our best shot.

I like the way you guys play. Quick passing style with plenty of genuine width. You get in behind teams and you put quality into the box with guys normally on hand in there to take advantage.

Your run the in the CL has been fantastic but as you are well aware, you really are in the business end now and the lack of experience in it will finally tell i think.

I just hope that your players take the eye off the ball in the league as our form is fucking shocking at the moment and without a little help from you i fear we will get caught.

I bet you are much more worried about getting to the top 4 than City fans are.

It's in our hands. And we dont have that many fixtures left. But you have...and they are extremly hard. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, 2x Real Madrid. And 4 of those games are away...

So no offence..i dont hate spurs. But i seriously think that we will get our revenge this time.

But if you finish top 4 this season..my respect for Spurs will increase massivly.

It's going to be extremly hard for you this time. Beating Madrid will be vry hard for you...but even if you beat them (doubt it).

Barcelona will finish you off. So dont even think about winning it :D
