There's no column in the league table for "attractive play". As of today, Spuds have less points, scored less goals & conceded more.

We've played a ridiculous 22 games in the last 12 weeks. Thats a game every 3-4 days for 3 months. We've come through that still in the top 4 without playing well very often. There's no reason why we can't now push on & achieve what we all want.

As apposed to our actually being 4th with every chance to consolidate our CL place if not push on to 3rd whilst looking forward to an FA cup semi final at Wembley against our closest rivals. Grass isn't always greener springs to mind.

Luka Modric believes Tottenham are a better team than Manchester City but admits it will be difficult to secure a top-four finish.

The sides were neck-and-neck in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification last season before Spurs picked up a decisive 1-0 victory at Eastlands in their penultimate match.

A similarly crucial fixture is on the cards this term, with City set to entertain Harry Redknapp's men on 10th May.

Tottenham are currently one place and four points behind their Manchester rivals in fifth, but do have the chance to make up ground with a game in hand.

Modric accepts that it will not be easy for Spurs to repeat their heroics from 12 months ago, even though he feels they are the superior team.

"It is going to be tougher than last year but I think we have a lot of quality in the team and can do it again," the Croatian, currently on international duty, told Sky Sports News.

"It is going to be hard but I think we are better than them and we still have one game against them.

"I think that game will again be decisive for who finishes fourth and fifth."

Modric has been quality all season and one of the outstanding players in the prem and if he was in our team he would improve it

Not so sure why people are getting worked up about a Spurs player talking up Spurs at our expense. I wouldn't expect him (or any other Spur) to do anything differently, even though the league table tends to contradict his opinion. He's simply toeing the party line. Indeed, if the situation was reversed, I would expect any of our players to say something similar.

I agree with this. Watching both teams, it is hard to argue we play better football. But we win more, so I'll take that.

Ekotto is a complete liability and gallas must be about 40 now.

Ekotto is better than Kolarov. (at least this season he is.) And both Dawson and Gallas are better than Lescott.

I would have our entire Back 4(MR, VK, JL, AK) + the goalkeeper over any of Spurs defence. Then De Jong VDV and Modric in midfield with Silva Bale and Dzeko up front. 2 Players that know how to provide support for a player like Dzeko when played in their position.

2nd best defensive record in the league, Vinny and Lescott are amazing right now, AK's not great but Richards is really turning into a world class full back
