Monaco - Post Match thread.

Disappointing, had chances and didn't take them, several key players having absolute mares. Not good at all.

Kun puts away even one sitter and we wouldn't be moaning, but that's it.
 
The season has been a failure in my opinion after this result. Cannot fathom how the players failed to turn up in that first half, just wasted the whole half, woeful disposition and something no one expected. A lot of players let the team down. Second half was better but once again could not take the chances and when we FINALLY scored, they then scored from their ONLY chance.

Typical.
 
No-one is above criticism and tonight Pep deserves some. That was a woeful managerial performance. Wrong starting line up, wrong tactics, wrong substitutions. Best manager in the world maybe, but tonight anyone on here could have done no worse. Utter rubbish.
 
Poor team selection.
Poor tactics.
Poor pressing.
Poor possession.
Poor movement.
Poor mentality.
 
Sterling, Kev, fernandinho, Silva(to a lesser extent) were all compltely ineffective tonight.

When you look at sterling himself...what did he do all night that sagna couldn't? There cant be a more damning evaluation that that either. Kev was all over the place, fernandino would have been better served slightly higher up tackling(where tackles might have turned into counters) instead of playing way too deep with only two attacking players as company in the middle. Silva started the game playing at a snails pace.

I can understand pep in the way he set up, as he was clearly asking questions of his team. Questions that have now been well and truly answered. Yaya/fern and fernando perhaps should have started as the wall in front of defense, with a lone attacking mid breaking away. Not pep's fault the workrate and general endevour was completely lacking from all the main names.

Overall though sergio had plenty of chances and blew every one of them. I only really rated sane and stones on the night.
 
Appalling game management,incredibly poor. Genuinely shocked at the manager tonight.
 
Need to get rid of Aguero. We put so much into attack compromising our defence and we don't score enough. We had a great 2nd half, but drew it 1-1.

Should have gone through. Their free-kick goal was just a gamble that paid off.
 
Gutted. No show first half. No urgency and always losing second balls and headers. They wanted it more. Yaya should have played. Could have placed crosses over that midfield. Anyhow, Pep's first season. Overall points for him 6/10 so far.
 
Jesus Christ Debruyne stunk up the whole of Monaco, Kolarov is useless as a centerhalf, couldn't put a cross into the penalty area to save our life, Aguero missing sitters for fun, Sterling still in their fb's back pocket, crazy enough John stones played well, clichy and ferns can walk back to Manchester after that shit, we didn't deserve anything out of this and got outfought to a man, sums it up
 
Yaya is too slow nowadays to have started this game, however he should have been on after an hour when it was obvious Monaco had ran out of steam.

I know his ball set up the goal, but Kev was like a sunday league player today, fucking abysmal.

Thought Sergio tried his best, just didn't fall for him.

Can't wait for new full backs!
 
Our defence is a shambles, some of the youngsters in the academy couldn't do worse than Clichy and Sagna.
