Battling for Top 4? So we've progressed not a jot from last year?

Greatest Manager in the World™

we arent going to win the league every year. what exactly did you expect swell ? new manager, aging team, its gonna take time to get things right. if pep won everything for us i dont think you'd be happy.

Unfortunately KDB's worst game for us to date. I am a big fan of his but he was awful tonight.
Desperately need to refresh the back line
Still...nobody died and it will get fixed in due course. I am confident of that.

Threw it in the bin first half.....Onwards and upwards.

Sterling, Kev, fernandinho, Silva(to a lesser extent) were all compltely ineffective tonight.

When you look at sterling himself...what did he do all night that sagna couldn't? There cant be a more damning evaluation. Kev was all over the place, fernandino would have been better served slightly higher up tackling(where tackles might have turned into counters) instead of playing way too deep with only two attacking players as company in the middle. Silva started the game playing at a snails pace.

I can understand pep in the way he set up, as he was clearly asking questions of his team. Questions that have now been well and truly answered. Yaya/fern and fernando perhaps should have started as the wall in front of defense, with a lone attacking mid breaking away. Not pep's fault the workrate and general endevour was completely lacking from all the main names. Not to mention what is becoming like a tumor at city with the usual refusal/hesitation to shoot, along with wasted chances galore. Brings me nicely onto the striker...

Sergio had plenty of chances and blew every one of them which in these games you cannot do. If you want to win the best trophies you have to be the striker that takes that ONE chance...not the one that misses multiples.

I only really rated sane and stones tonight. Where do you go as a player if the knockout stages of the champs league cannot see you turn up? Last year it was the same diluted effort in the semi's.

So, so, so disappointing.

Agreed mate,

Agreed mate, but its a bit too soon to be saying oh, move on, minutes after we've just gone out, as if it didn't matter

I know but what can you do? Maybe it says a something when defeats just don't kill me as much this season.

I can't be arsed being angry

The difference in physicality between the two teams is stark. Sterling,de Bruyne ,Silva and Sane are all just too easy to push off the ball . Aguero is too short and what is the point of him being on the edge of our area (their 1st goal) and has less and less presence in the box. The Monaco of fast, strong players is and has bee the future ,since our 2011/12 side..

What a fucking stupid thing to say, of course I'd be happy. Fact is, we're further away than we were last season.

Of course its aging team when we signed in 2013 and 2014 players mostly in their late 20s. On top of a core that was in their late 20s..... great strategy.
