Second half we dominated apart from a split second on a set piece

defending is fucking shite.
We don't have defenders that are comfortable on the ball, panic sets in far to easy.
But it wasn't just about them tonight. 1st half we couldn't pass, even when not under
any pressure. We started the game the exact opposite of what was needed.

Pep has to take a huge amount of the blame for that one. Did he think to deeply and bamboozle himself? Whatever, his tactics of just having Fernandinho in front of our defence tonight in the first half cost us big time. It was shocking. Did he not watch the previous game? And why didn't he change it earlier than he did?
Much better in the second half - but we really should have scored at least 2 more goals more than we did in the second half.
Shocking free kick to concede the third from - indeed, I really don't know why we use that tactic as it always looks dodgy.
We need major restructuring at the back and in defensive midfield to move forward, but we knew that already.

Sorry but it was a train wreck before the game had even started.
Absolutely criminal to set up the way we did given the 2 goal advantage we had. Other coaches simply would NOT have done what Pep did tonight and shame on him for going so bloody gung ho. How can you score 6 goals over 2 games and not get through? Shambolic.

That's football. We weren't quite good enough on the day, but I think you have to support the team and the coach. He knows what he is doing. We didn't take our chances. That's not Pep's fault. He picked the right team. The only questionable decision was Kolarov over Otamendi.Congrats to Monaco, we were shit. Players and management found wanting yet again

Just didn't turn up first half, poor display, missed Yaya, second half bit more urgency but they sat back. Disappointed, let ourselves down. Feel we limped out of it rather than went out fighting. Sad.

Awful first half from us but it summed it up for me with that stupid fucking wall for the freekick, we DO NOT work on defensive tactics, it's just hit and miss and a pure gamble every game we play, a lot of that is on Pep tonight. We only had to go there tonight and not concede. Pellegrini was hounded for being a 1 trick pony yet this guy gets a very easy ride for me, yes it isn't his team but it is no excuse to not adapt the tactics once in a while. All of the best managers do it.

No one ever said we would, progress is all we want, especially after we've moved hell and earth to get this guy here. I'm all for giving him time, but the fact is that we have not moved forwards at all.
The single positive right this second is Sane, IMHO.
mate, i think we just need time. let him bring his own players in and get the right team together. its gonna be a long term project. it is disappointing going out, but hopefully we do well in the fa cup
How can people blame pep for the players not being able to make a simple pass???? That entire first half the players gave the ball away every chance they could get. One touch in their penalty box the entire first half is not peps fault
We've went backwards from last season though.This time next season (providing we are still the competition) we will be an improved team.

Shocked he didnt replace Kdb with yaya......
Kdb had a shocker all night ( no one played well but he was the worst)..and it was crying out for Yaya to give us that control or pick out that pass over the top.
