Monaco post match

Monaco attacked really well and you can see why they score so many goals. There were aspects of their game that weren't so good though. They were poor in possession and just as Monaco's forwards had the beating of our defenders, then so did City's forwards over Monaco's defenders.

I am confident City will go through now. But still a very hard game in front of us

I've watched them a lot of times this season, first time being in the beginning (matchday 3 if I remember correctly) when they beat P-S-G at home, quite convincingly. Jardim's game is not based on possession like ours, they are pretty direct, still they are able to circulate the ball if they decide to. Their convenience to adapt to different situations and tempi as the match progresses ia amazing, they are well ballanced, a quality side. Trust me when I'm telling you it was the quality of our attacking game that exposed their defensive structure tonight, also our attitude: very few teams would show that character to come from behind. Twice...

Obviously a very hard game in front of us, no doubt about it. Still it seemed over after 61', didn't it? Now you have a 2 goals advantage to defend. I can assure you, Jardim never expected anything like that...

What's not to like?
Yeah great game, you win the odd thriller but you don't win a cup/title playing with a defence like that.
Oh please fuck off with your misery. The lads dug deep for that result.

it did really have the feel that they hadn't really experienced putting their style on the line against a team of our calibre who could really hurt them, much like Chelsea turning up to us seemingly invicible and we showed that they are actually quite ordinary. I'm not saying Monaco are ordinary, but Jardim has a lot of work to do because his team just seemed at a loss at times of how to handle us walking through them, they just weren't disciplined enough, actually were guilty of being like us and leaving the back door open all the time which punishes us so often in the league.
