My kids were in hysterics at the 'special effects' - the cloud he flys on and demons appearing/vanishing in puffs of smoke.

Neither perky or adequately sized anyhow as a mere scamp I watched it in bewilderment. Monkey blowing on his fingers, a pink cloud a bloke called piggy who.looked well pig like. Mouths moving out of sync. Gender issues not even knowing what that meant.

Most of my childhood was watching things obviously made by people taking too many drugs. Loved every minute of it.

My favourite the French sword fighting thing and buster Crabtree who managed to be flash Gordon and buck Rogers
