I own a Mercedes (if you think I'm a c*nt, then you are probably correct), so that's out of the way.
I took it in for a 'b service' so it's the major 2 yearly one, I dropped it into mercedes Stockport on Friday morning, and spoke to the contact there and left my keys with them.
I got a call later on to say that it's all done, and the cost details. Normal price £440.59.
So drove it away feeling satisfied that everything was sorted.
Saturday morning I was doing about 80mph on the M60, and all of a sudden I heard a loud bang and started to loose control of my car, and heading towards the barriers, of course my arse fell out, and somehow managed to get on to the hard shoulder and have a look at my car. All tyres intact, so I looked under the car and saw the belly pan of the car all mangled and trapped (I'm knelt in the rain in the hard shoulder with lorries thundering past)
I managed to drive the car 250yrds to the next junction and pulled it free.
I drove straight to the dealership and threw it on the floor demanding to see the manager.
The car was put on the ramps and inspected. The service manager said it looked like it hadn't been secured correctly on the service, and another will be ordered because mine was fucked, and fitted "free of charge" on Wednesday.
Now the problem is this: do I just accept it as a bit of a fuck up and accept their apologies,
or do I take it further and seek recourse?
My wife thinks they are "c*nts" and we should take it as far as we can, the "cheeky bastards"... Suggestions please, because the dealer principle will be contacting me tomorrow, nice one.
