Dunno mate, I've coughed up for hostel fees for homeless people plenty of times but I'd never give them cash or buy them a pint. Better to get the €25/30 out of your wallet to sort them with a warm safe bed tbf.I don’t believe he excluded it from the arrangement.

Trust me I’ve been there, it’s a pint or hospital, the pint is a quick fix and doesn’t solve any of his problems, it’ll get him through the day, I can’t frogmarch him to counselling, just stuck a cord, I need a drink can you help, liked his honesty and I’ve said I’ve been there.He's an alcoholic and you were going to buy him a pint?
