It’s abuse that was uncovered a while ago, it’s the findings of the enquiry that has just been released.

I’ve read the report now and it’s worth pointing out that in the section of it talking about the attitudes and race impact, equally if not more damaging in the findings was the attitude towards the victims and seeing them as complicit at times in it too, particularly those from poorer backgrounds.

At a time when both those attitudes were known about as well as the scale of the problem, funding was taken away from all of the supporting functions. It’s a horrendous read with culpability all over the place.

How do these police officers, councillors and social services people sleep at night knowing they’ve allowed Rapists and peados to get away with it. It’s bizarre and disgusting.

Scared of being racist is the most pathetic excuse as well. The should all be locked up and the monsters that did this need jailing for life. I’d welcome all of these peoples ( councillors, social services, rapists..faces being shown on tv and their lives ruined

The Keighley MP Anne Cryer was one of the first to call out the gangs who perpetrated these appalling crimes. Her own agent publicly denounced her as a racist.
It took several years before anyone took any notice. It was Channel 4 who finally ran her story. BBC refused to touch it.
