More proof we are getting bigger...

I was at the stadium last wednesday and there was a coach load of Japanese in the shop buying loads of stuff. Lots of them bought the "why always me" ones.

I take it you mean Atletico de Madrid not Athletic Bilbao
Where I live there are plenty of Atletico shirts so it would simply amaze me that anyone would find it difficult to find an "Atleti" shirt in Madrid. We´ve won 2 UEFA´S and the Super cup in the last 3 years. More than Madrid in fact.
She was right about the last bit as well!! Like City in fact!

Yeah it was Athletico, and I was after a kids kit (4 year old) and couldn't find any, though your right you could get Adult shirts along with Real and Barca. I was pretty much in the centre with a lot of tourist type shops (around the Big Square, Gran Via, Mercado de San Miguel etc..)

Business as usual in Ireland with the sports shops exclusively flogging the traditional Sky 4 kits. Not sure how I feel about that, except that the Utd n 'Pool ones are absolutely hideous.

There's been a load of Spanish students at Parrs Wood the last few weeks , probably on 'exchange visits' , it could well be the same lot ........

There was a load of Spanish kids in Primark in town a couple of weeks ago. Then I saw another load in the coral Island amusements in Blackpool playing on the 2p machines last week.

What the fuck is going on ?

All of the Spanish National Teams Kids, could mean were making an 11 man swoop in the transfer market for Spain's starting 11? Could be a long-shot though...

While visiting Barcelona I bought an espanyol shirt. An espanyol fan was so happy that I hadn't bought a Barcelona shirt like all the other tourists he let me off the entrance fee for a boat ride.

that's ace story. something I could see myself doing as well, especially earlier when it seemed nobody knew us

About four years ago we were in Turkey with my mates family. His lad, about 7 or 8 at the time walked up to a market stall selling snide football shirts (the usual, rags, Barca, Madrid, Chelsea, Milan etc) Pointing to his City shirt he said to the stall holder, "In a few years you'll be selling loads of these mate"

Seems he was right!
