I still believe Savio will be a great player for us. There's oodles of talent there. He's' very young and only been with the squad one year. Many players take a year or two with Pep to reach their potential. He's going to be great for us!

Yeah I never grasped how great he was until he was gone. He knew when to release the ball, when to go inside or out. He was tactically a lot more astute than I ever gave him credit for.

I can't say I did either, mate. Riyad was playing in the French 2nd division, at the same age. Sav has had a great year in La Liga and an average year with us.
I think he has something about him and definitely worth persevering with.
With us having more threats through the middle, teams will not be able to double up on him.
He has the touch and technique to succeed. I am hoping for a big year from him.
