We have too many "inexperienced/potential" type players already in those attacking areas of the team, Doku/Savinho/Bobb/Echiverri/Mcatee IMO. We need someone already established if possible. Who can hit the ground running, with those youngsters mentioned supporting for now and gaining experience.I'd rather someone like the Brazilian kid from Turkey or Arda Guler who is surplus at Madrid. An actual creative type. I have faith in the overall teams chemistry and possession ability to help with the creation of chances. Even Tijjani Reindjer might work. There are 2 or 3 guys at Barca that would work. Fermin Lopez, Olmo or Gavi are all great options. And they all cant start at Barca.
But we might have to just wait this out and not rush it.
I think we also have some young guys who we should see what they have. I personally love Bobb and the talk of Echeveri's potential is well known.
I just don't want us adding multiple good players with low ceilings. Either find just one guy or skip midfield altogether and strengthen the full back positions and see what we have in Bobb and Echeveri at the creative position.
I really like Marmoush and Foden as our goal scoring wide forwards. But If Foden goes to the middle, im guessing Savio simply just starts on the right backed up by Bobb.
And that's not bad either. Savio before this season was benching what's his face at Barcelona on the National team. So there is immense potential there too.
I'd rather wait than get it wrong (again). One top player rather than 2 mediocre ones I agree with. Although, many seem to want 2 new players in the middle. Im with you, 1 top end AM would be how I would go.
But as you say, maybe we muddle thru if we cant get the top AM. Or, Foden shifts inside but Savinho/Bobb not ready to do the heavy lifting all season, if we want to challenge for the title again. Might be easier to get a top level winger in and give Foden that last chance to prove himself in the middle once and for all. Going to be interesting to see how it plays out....
