And that's not bad either. Savio before this season was benching what's his face at Barcelona on the National team. So there is immense potential there too.

We have too many "inexperienced/potential" type players already in those attacking areas of the team, Doku/Savinho/Bobb/Echiverri/Mcatee IMO. We need someone already established if possible. Who can hit the ground running, with those youngsters mentioned supporting for now and gaining experience.

I'd rather wait than get it wrong (again). One top player rather than 2 mediocre ones I agree with. Although, many seem to want 2 new players in the middle. Im with you, 1 top end AM would be how I would go.

But as you say, maybe we muddle thru if we cant get the top AM. Or, Foden shifts inside but Savinho/Bobb not ready to do the heavy lifting all season, if we want to challenge for the title again. Might be easier to get a top level winger in and give Foden that last chance to prove himself in the middle once and for all. Going to be interesting to see how it plays out....

I’m struggling to understand this argument. He’s not Camavinga. You guys are acting like he’s Baleba off the ball. To stop a transition you have to stop the person running with speed. He doesn’t have long legs. His interceptions AND tackles are lower than Bernardo in 2025. And we have the ball all the time. I really don’t understand what you guys keep talking about. He runs a lot ? That not all we need. Rodri needs a duel winner, who covers a lot of ground and breaks up play. Rodri with his passing would unleash A Cherki who would feed hungry Marmoush x Haaland x Foden. 2 midfielders shielding the centre backs while the FBs bomb up down and wide pushing back the opposition wingers. Thats a viable system. Idk what MGW does that any kid from the academy can’t do.

I'd be very surprised if he is top 5 expected assists in the league. That would mean he is around Salah, Palmer, Saka, Fernandes etc who have much more threat.

why is that guy making up stats ?People still rating key passes in 2025. He has the same Big Chances Created as Bernardo in 2025. He’s got worse defensive numbers than him too.

MGW is a 10 and thats where he’ll be played, Foden inside right, Marmoush inside left, Haaland up top.

There isn’t a single player in the academy that could play 10 for a team challenging for the champions league, sorry to break that to you. Maybe some of them in 3/4 years.

Just watch a compilation of MGW, he’s top drawer, creates chances, is fast, presses well, good technique, turns his man pretty easily and has good feet. Plus he can rocket a shot or volley off, and deliver a ball.

I’m sure he could also play as an 8 for us, he’s got the legs and tenacity.

Or you could not watch a compilation and watch whole games instead. Live and on telly. And after that you may come to the conclusion that if he's your number 10, unless you've got worldies all round him, you're not winning the league or UCL. He gives the ball away, he's not an expert finisher, he's not an expert chance creator, he's not a quality presser (although that's not forests way).

We don't know if O'Reilly can be a ten. We don't know if Bobb can be a ten. I'd like to find out rather than spend £100m on someone who I'm fairly sure can't be in a championship winning team.

Because his stats say no, as does the eye test.

More yellow cards than goal involvements. In forest's best season.

Your eye test, I every time I watch him I’m impressed.

He’s physical on and off the ball, technical enough in the tight spaces, similar to Kev in that regard, just technical enough on the ball to get out of trouble and create a yard.

Drives with the ball similar to a younger Kev.

He’s a far better option in the 10 than what we currently have. Like I’ve said previously, he looks to pass forward, unlike all of our current options bar Kev, who’s leaving.

That’s my opinion. You have yours whatever, hopefully for both of us and the club you end up eating your words, seeing as though it’s seemingly a done deal.

Oh yeah, if we sign him I'll be begging you're right! And I will agree that passing forward is a skill set we're missing.

Bringing him in anyway is a poor move. The lad is not good enough for an elite team. When the pressure has come he's gone missing the last month or so.

However having him come in as a 10 to replace arguably our greatest ever player who this season has had a huge drop off and looks like he can't do it consistently anymore would be complete incompetence from the club.

Gibbs White has 12 goals/assists in 31 games. A past it De Bruyne has 11 in 25 games. Keegan signed Vuoso whilst watching a compilation. Watching snippets of games is pointless. Although watching him miss that open goal against us will never get old.

He’s got energy and intensity- something our midfield is presently lacking but I’m not sure as a package he’s good enough. If running around a lot and tacking is the criteria? Lewis could do that. And he’s miles off being good enough for our midfield. We need a box to box player who compliments Rodri and the KDB replacement.
