Don’t think he’s a serious target. Good but not great
And they walked their league this year whereas the others you mentioned struggled....wait a second...
It would be pretty decent.I quite like him to be honest. He's been superb for Forest this season and every time I've seen them play - obviously not loads - you can see that he's got a great engine on him, can tackle and move the ball about. He's got a decent pass on him and just seems to have a bit of energy and needle about him. He's in a team where they don't have much of the ball and whenever they have it, he is the one to create things.
The club can obviously see something in him and he's clearly a decent player. Is he worth £70m? I'm not sure but that's the price Forest want and if Pep thinks he can work with him then he will become a very good player.
I know a lot of people slate the players from West Ham, Forest, Palace, Wolves and say they aren't good enough but some players are just on the way up via these clubs. If you put a team together which had Eze, Wharton, MGW, Mateta, Cunha, Murillo, Aina, Hudson-Odoi, Munoz, Bowen and Kudus etc it would be a pretty decent team. The trick is to buy the players who are hungry and want success and you can bet anything these players would jump at the chance to play at City.
I think he would be a good signing, I'm not paying the money so I don't care about it but he would improve our midfield as it stands.
By building a side Inter have knocked 2 of these sides with much higher turnovers out of the CL. They've stumbled in Serie A, where Italy has the 2nd highest UEFA coefficient after England, in recent weeks but are still only 3 points behind Napoli.
And generally the process is build a side to win your domestic league which then evolves, adapts and gains experience before making a real challenge to win the CL.
You didn't know who Rodri and Dias were when we signed them. Relatively unknownAnd I didn't mention unearthing talent it was the poster I was replying to.
My point was a general one on recruitment. Virtually all our recent signings have been less well known than Rodri and Dias both of whom had played Champions league football, International football and played for prominent teams.
Sane was capped for Germany and generally reckoned to be about the hottest young talent in the Bundesleague.
We have generally signed very good players, we have made the odd mistakes.
Personally I have no very strong opinion on MGW either way but it's nonsense to suggest we don't have a decent record on signings, though I suspect that the market is a bit more competitive than it was when we were recruiting in greater numbers.

No they weren't haha. Dias - we were linked to every CB under the sun and he came out of nowhere. Why rewrite history when it's all there to see.?
They were both touted well in advance of being signed.
Which is neither here nor there to my general point that taken in the totality we have generally made good signings with a couple of mistakes.
Have a look at his transfer thread there are links by Jack Gaughan in the mail well before he signedNo they weren't haha. Dias - we were linked to every CB under the sun and he came out of nowhere. Why rewrite history when it's all there to see.
Rodri had started 2 games for Spain and only been with Atletico for one season. They were relatively unknown.
Obviously there's links towards the end. Jack is briefed by the club. We looked at the lad from Napoli that ended up at Chelsea for months and another lad. Dias signing came out of nowhereHave a look at his transfer thread there are links by Jack Gaughan in the mail well before he signed
Don't see it, he was talking having another kid with his missus in Milan over the summer.Apparently, City had a bid rejected yesterday—reportedly in the region of €45-50 million. Milan, however, are holding out for more, and from the noise around the situation, it seems they're open to letting him go for a higher fee, likely around €65 million.
There’s talk of a gentleman’s agreement between Milan and Reijnders: if they fail to secure a Champions League spot, they won’t stand in his way. Reijnders, for his part, is said to be keen on the move to City. But he also wants to handle the situation with respect—he’s not looking to force a transfer, especially not at €45 million. He’s willing to wait, but it’s clear the interest is mutual.
Yep, definitely, and everyone was disappointed because we'd been linked to the likes of Koulibaly if I remember rightly, but ended up signing this nobody last minute. And thank god we did.Obviously there's links towards the end. Jack is briefed by the club. We looked at the lad from Napoli that ended up at Chelsea for months and another lad. I remember some fans certainly weren't happy when we were on the verge of signing Dias after we were first linked to Koulibaly and Kounde. No they weren't haha. Dias - we were linked to every CB under the sun and he came out of nowhere. Why rewrite history when it's all there to see.

Would that really be an issue? They're both Dutch. Why would they care particularly about staying in Milan?Don't see it, he was talking having another kid with his missus in Milan over the summer.
He idolises Cruyff, has his shirt number and dreamt of playing there. They both love the city and want to have another kid there. He might move but i doubt it.Would that really be an issue? They're both Dutch. Why would they care particularly about staying in Milan?
What about Grealish's stats in the treble season? Stats aren't everything. In the New Year, Forest were hovering in 2nd and 3rd in the league and MGW was widely acknowledged as their best player. He was seen as a shoe in for the next England squad.Go on premierleague.com/players and search his stats
