LolHe's a baller, would be great if we can get him for less than 75m.

It looks like this signing is probably on, so maybe its time for some posters to get behind it and give a bit of support rather than moan about it.
Just don’t see it with this lad,not my money but it’ll be close to the grealish fee or not a kick in the arse off it,hope I’m proved wrong but seems a signing that’s all about top 4-5 not title material..
Who’s reporting the fee?£80million!
Just gone and triggered my PTSD from the Grealish and Phillips transfers
I think most posters will get excited about potential signings they like and moan about potential signings they dislike. As it should be on a forum discussing transfers. We are City fans, not cult members getting behind every decision the club makes whatever that decision may be.It looks like this signing is probably on, so maybe its time for some posters to get behind it and give a bit of support rather than moan about it.
If the plan is Wirtz and MGW….I can can get the clubs logic. Essentially pairing a budding star with a tenacious high work rate type player….We need pieces that compliment each other.Seems as well that the club are committing possibly £80m to the transfer as well so its not like they are looking at a squad filler. Could be £200m on Wirtz and MGW alone!

Yes, or if we keep to the 4 man midfieldRodri
Gibbs-White
Wirtz
If we get MGW on top of the likes of Wirtz (yes, I know they are 2 completely different players), then I am content with this signing. However, my fear is that we will spend 75-80m quid on him, and he will be our "big" signing of the summer. When is the last time we spent 80+ million on two different players in one summer? A lot of people say he will be a great addition and Wirtz will replace Kev, but can you genuinely envision us spending 75-80m on MGW and then 100+ on Wirtz? I just can't see this happening. We are getting MGW and that's that for midfield reinforcements.

We haven’t needed to spend 80 plus million on two players as our roster was stacked . We are now in rebuild mode and need to be more aggressive. A lot of our spending is going to be dictated by whether Wirtz is willing to come I suspect. If we get MGW on top of the likes of Wirtz (yes, I know they are 2 completely different players), then I am content with this signing. Two years left on his deal, rebuffed offers to sign an improved deal up to this point.
Forest might ask for a player to sweeten the pot, especially if we have our own valuation and want him for CWC.
