If MGW plays in the midfield I cannot see Wirtz playing there as well. If anything Pep is getting more conservative within the midfield three. It would more likely be Rodri a controller (Gundog /Bernardo/Kova) type player along with a MGW and Wirtz, just like it has been through his whole time here.

No, it doesn’t MGW and Wirtz are very different players, MGW much more Bernardo or Gundogan than KDB, like saying if we have Gundogan we don’t need KDB. It may not be Wirtz ,it may not be MGW but it will be 2.Bernardo and Kovacic could well go ,Grealish almost certainly,Gundogan will hardly play. Currently we play a 4 man midfield.
Financially and PSR wise , we have loads of room to spend and comfortably be within PSR restraints.
 
Watched him closely the last two games and he's been garbage.

I honestly don't know what he does.

Doesn't score goals, doesn't create many opportunities, doesn't dictate the play and he lacked any drive and energy tonight, a very lazy performance.

I keep seeing City fans say that he isn't the De Bruyne replacement, he's the Gundogan replacement. How? He's absolutely nowhere near the levels of prime Gundogan. We need players that have a high football intelligence to play in our midfield.

The games I've seen him, he's been playing as the number 10. He would be completely out of his depth at Manchester City. He's just not good enough for us at all.

Even Forest fans seem more than happy to see him leave. Says all you need to know really.

Please don't sign him City, we will massively regret it.

Nobody will ever gaslight me on this guy. He's just simply not good enough for us.

I feel insulted that we let go of Cole Palmer for 40m and now we are interested in signing MGW that will cost double the price.

The board are seriously taking the piss here.

I’ve watched him a fair bit and I don’t see the similarities.

It might well be two new players and we might hopefully move players on, but my point all along is it won’t be the two of them. Might be one but not both of them.

Also watched him closely recently.
There’s little doubt that he’s tenacious.
However, he is nowhere near good enough for where we want to be… at any price.
He looks to be in the Nunes, Phillips bracket. Ie. very expensive flops… and a waste of money and a squad place.
Viana has to do miles better than this..

It isn’t the board, they know fuck all about footballers. Txiki, Viana, Pep Guardiola on the other hand know a fair bit. Still if bluemoon experts know better who are they to argue, lets leave it a football forum.Not like the club have built a trophy winning squad before is it.

That's who I am talking about.

Viana and Txiki which is involving Pep too.

Our recruitment last 2-3 seasons has been absolutely crap which is why we are where we are this season.

If we want to get back to winning ways again, let's start signing players the calibre of Gundogan, Bernardo, De Bruyne, David Silva etc...

PSG have found young players with really good potential, why can't we?

We can't afford to spend a fortune on a player that is not going to be a guarantee.

Why are you saying MGW and Wirtz are very different players?

Joe Hart and David Silva are very different players.

Wirtz and MGW are actually what you’d call very similar players.
(granted ones better than the other so they are different there).
