Morgan Gibbs-White

I think we might lineup in a 3-5-2 next season

Defence of Gvardiol - Dias - Akanji
Midfield of Rodri - Gibbs White - Reijnders
Wing backs - Wesley - Kerkez/Cambiasso
Then two up top, Marmoush - Haaland
That would never work for us, its too passive.

The extra CB should be sacrificed for another midfielder/forward further up to retain the possession game.

It works for teams like Inter because teams dont sit back against them, and especially in the champions league, they sit back into a 532 and counter.

It’s how we’ve been playing. Marmoush and Haaland were the two up top last night. Midfield was overloaded made Bournemouth struggle. Nunes and Gvardiol were more wingbacks than full backs.

Gibbs white and Reijnders are runners they will run into the box causing panic. Wingback whip balls in or go wide taking opposition wingers out of the game. Full control in midfield with a 3 at the back with Rodri in front. To clean up transitions.

That’s how Pep from the wins this season has set us up. Just Gundo and Kev don’t have the energy anymore

We didnt play like that against Bournemouth.

I dont think we have ever played 352 this season.

We played 433 against Bournemouth that sometimes resembled 4222 based on Gundogan or Bernie joining the attack.

Think he looked at a house @sky tot built several months back. It's no secret he's very close with Phil, godfather to kids etc so wouldnt surprise me if he was looking to move closer.
A slight update to this house business. We were out last Friday for a works doo. I was asking my boss about what work we have in the pipeline . He rattled a few developments that are starting but mentioned Gibbs -White has been in touch to see if we have any houses for sale .We only have 1 house that is waiting to be knocked down if planning permission is granted for a new build house . All the others are spoken for … That’s it I’m afraid

Easier said than done though.
It's relatively easy to move most on. Whats hard is not taking a big financial hit while doing so. But, in my opinion, any decision on keeping a player or not should be decided by asking "can this player deliver what we need him to deliver in the squad if we want to be the best team in the world?". If the answer is no, the only question should be "whats the best deal we can get that will move this player on?". In the best of worlds that means a good fee and the player happily moves, in the worst of worlds it means no fee and we pay 95% of the salary on a loan (a bit exaggerated).

Sporting merit must always come first, we cant keep guys around we dont want here because of financial reasons. We have one of the highest revenues in the world, been net spend champions for years etc. If we can spend several hundred millions on new players we can afford to take a financial hit on someone that cant deliver whats needed on the pitch.

I guessed at 65.

Half his addons met to take it Forests fee to 30ish and double the price they paid.
Not been sold on this guy personally from day one, but if he comes I hope he turns into a cracker. It's a bit more palatable than the 100m that was bandied about a few weeks back.

Depends on how precisely this is worded. It could mean that Forest expect £70m for themselves, so the Wolves % would take the fee above that.

Or (hopefully) it's £70m and Wolves get part of that.

This transfer has grown on me, but in my head £60m would be fair. Now I know we don't often get "fair" and it isn't my money, but the final price may obviously impact other transfers if too high etc.
