Morgan Gibbs-White

Did he wave goodbye at the end of the game. Did it look like he had played his last game for Forest?
Just asking cos I missed it.
I don't know but I doubt we have even made a bid for him and such a gesture would be meaningless on the final day.

I see MGW and Morgan Rogers as 2 possible buys from the PL who would provide the power and technique that our midfield currently lacks. Over the last 12 Premier League games, that's 1/3rd of the season, City won 9 and drew 3 games. This was also a period in which we won every FA Cup game apart from the FA Cup Final. That's without Rodri. We don't need to make more than 2-3 signings in my opinion (3-4 if Ederson is going) but one needs to be a creative midfielder.

Rogers and Gibbs-White are 2 players who might be available and who are good enough to play in a title-winning side.

Not the same club that signed Luka Jovic, a past-it Eden Hazard, Reinier Jesus, Mariano Diaz, Alvaro Odriozola in just the past handful of years?

That’s not our barometer and proves even the winningest clubs can occasionally get things wrong.
No but the sane team that signed Ronaldo zidane mbappe kaka kroos beckham aswell . They may have signed some duds but not get have also signed superstars and they are on another level to anyone else

Well balanced take. I felt we got the rub of the green in a few of those 12 matches. But nevertheless we got it done.
Defensively we're still a bit exposed, something Rodri's return should help. But we need to help him out. The question is when we give him a rest who is best suited to fill in.

González can do it, but looks more comfortable attacking space in the final third, a bit like Kovacic. Gundo? No. O'Reilly? Who knows, but probably too inexperienced.

Of the people we're linked with it seems MGW is not best equipped for the deeper lying playmaker and whilst Reinjders is apparently versatile again not his forte.

The obvious choice would be the young Palace midfielder, Wharton.

Oh forgot Bernie..He seems to be able to do the deep lying thing.
