Morgan Gibbs-White

I've still not forgiven his schnidey activities regarding Rodris sending off a few years back. Will he improve us? Probably(defo in squad form) Will he take us to the next level? I'm not so sure. A great player in a very small pond but we've seen what can happen when these players step out of that cuddly little world. I think if we can get him somewhere around 50 mill then I'd take a punt, but I don't think that'll happen. Buy a top class off the peg foreigner and intergreate young Nico into that midfield squad player.

He's better than McAtee, as he gets involved in games more and has leadership qualities. In terms of technical qualities maybe he isn't, but effectiveness? Yes.
I'd argue that McAtee hasn't been given anywhere near enough time to show what he can or can't do. In fact, the way Pep has treated him is a fucking disgrace to be honest

I don't think he'll add to what we currently have apart from squad depth (something Pep is very reluctant to really add numbers to)

We've gone from cherry picking the best talent in Europe to getting mediocre players and worst bit is we aren't learning from our mistakes.

We wouldn't spend the money for van dyke and we have seen what he has been for liverpool, same with rice at arsenal. The same is likely to happen with Wirtz, meanwhile we will try and save a few bob and could end up with a player we can't shift in a few years.

Its one we'll only be sure about years down the line I expect, but for me there's been too many occasions where he's been given a chance and you forget he's on the pitch. He just doesn't impose himself on the game enough.

Pep maybe has messed him about a bit, but James still has to do enough to deserve a place and I dont think ever has (I'm not counting goals against lower division teams etc in this).

To be fair to Pep he did give McAtee ample time but unfortunately for him he hasn't really grasped the opportunties. Simlar to Cole Palmer.
